Challenge:

SICO International faced an urgent issue when one of their key production machines broke down due to the failure of a critical custom plastic component. This part was no longer available off the shelf, leaving SICO in a difficult position, with production halted and deadlines at risk.

Solution:

Optimised 3D Engineering stepped in to help by reverse-engineering the broken component. Using the damaged part as a reference, we recreated the design using high-precision 3D CAD software. We then selected a more durable plastic material to ensure the new part could withstand the rigours of the machine's operation. The final component was 3D printed and delivered quickly to minimise production downtime.
